Job description:

We are looking for a Home Support Worker to provide essential personal care and companionship for seniors, assisting with daily living activities and promoting their overall well-being. The main job responsibilities are giving below:

• Provide personal care and companionship
• Administer bedside and personal care
• Assist client with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
• Assist in regular exercise
• Assist in the administration of medications and collect specimens
• Change non-sterile dressings
• Cook, prepare and serve nutritious meals, and assist in feeding
• Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, washing dishes and making beds
• Shop for food and household supplies
• Provide transportation and support to medical appointment
• Require working during nights and weekends, as per the employer's needs

Qualifications:

• College diploma or certificate in personal support worker is required.
• First aid certification is required.
• A valid Ontario driver’s license is required to perform job duties.
• Experience in care of the elderly, care of persons with convalescent care is an asset.
• Mandarin is preferred but not mandatory.
