Job description:
Location: 10 George St N suite 104, Brampton ON, L6X 1R2
(Work locations may vary. Frequent or constant travel is required from the employee.)
Salary: $36.00 hourly / 35 hours per Week
Overtime:1.5 times gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Responsibilities:
- Constructing wooden elements such as roof frames, joists, partitions, rafters, and stud work for both residential and commercial buildings.
- Planning and installing cabinetry, shelving units, drywall, and insulation materials.
- Building structural foundations, setting floor beams, laying subfloors, and assembling walls and roofing systems.
- Installing various fixtures and fittings, including door hardware, locks, trim, stairs, moldings, and closures.
- Accurately measuring, cutting, and assembling wood, wood alternatives, lightweight steel, and other construction materials.
- Choosing suitable lumber based on project needs, ensuring it aligns with design preferences and budget constraints.
- Performing repairs and upgrades to existing wooden structures.
- Creating detailed cost estimates for client proposals.
- Communicating with clients to go over design plans, budget limits, and project schedules.
- Interpreting and working from blueprints, technical drawings, and sketches.
- Coordinating with suppliers to procure materials while staying within budget limits.
- Reviewing architectural blueprints and construction plans to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school is required
- 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience
- Requires frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling during tasks.
- Involves a mix of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day.
- Includes lifting and carrying heavy materials or equipment.
- Demands physical effort and the ability to manage a high workload independently.
