Job description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Personal Support Worker to provide comprehensive bedside and personal care for a single elderly woman. The successful candidate will ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of this senior while maintaining accurate care records and effective communication with families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Personal Care: Deliver comprehensive bedside care including assistance with bathing, dressing, ambulation, feeding, and medication reminders in accordance with established care protocols.
- Companionship: Serve as a compassionate companion by engaging in meaningful conversation and providing emotional support.
- Meal Planning and Preparation: Select, plan, and prepare nutritious meals that meet the senior’s dietary needs.
- Housekeeping: Perform essential housekeeping duties such as washing dishes, maintaining cleanliness of the living space, and handling laundry to create a safe and comfortable environment.
- Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate care records and promptly report any changes in the senior’s condition to family members and supervisors.
- Communication: Ensure clear, consistent communication with the family regarding the senior’s overall well-being.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proven experience in senior care or a related field.
- Certification in First-Aid is required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with exceptional patience and active listening abilities.
- Ability to work independently and maintain meticulous records.
- High school degree or above

- Previous experience in the same field and/or previous full-time training in the field will be an asset.
