Location of work: Work in employer's home at Etobicoke, Ontario M9C 3J9

Major intersection: Burnhamthorpe Rd and Mill Rd

Title of position: Personal support worker – home support – personal household of Margaret and Jack T.

Candidate is to care for an elderly person.

Duties:

• Administer bedside and personal care
• Administer medications
• Assist clients in water (i.e. pool)
• Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
• Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
• Collect specimens
• Launder clothing and household linens
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Plan therapeutic diets and menus
• Provide companionship
• Provide personal care
• Shop for food and household supplies
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals
• Cook

Terms of employment: 40 hours/week, permanent, full-time, mornings, day, evening, with overtime if needed

Wages: $20 per hour

Education required: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate /Completion of high school.

Work experience required: 1 months to less than 7 months of relevant experience

Language required to do the work: English

First aid certification

Criminal record check will be required

Other conditions: staff accommodation available; optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis (this is NOT a condition of employment)

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Relocation costs (if any) will be covered by employer.
