Job description:

• Compute the dimensions and tolerances of machine parts
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables
• Set up and adjust production machinery/tools
• Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance
• Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments
• Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
• Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools

Work conditions and physical capabilities

• Work under Tight deadlines
• Repetitive tasks
• Physically demanding must weight handling up to 50 lbs
• Attention to detail
• Sometimes overtime required
