Job Description:
Autool Tech Ltd. is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Panel Installer to join our growing team in Calgary. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on residential and commercial rooftops. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about renewable energy and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Job Duties: 

1. Install solar panel systems safely and efficiently on rooftops or other structures, making sure everything is properly mounted and sealed
2. Set up both interior and exterior prefabricated components, such as brackets, racking systems, and electrical housing
3. Follow project plans, blueprints, or layout instructions to understand where and how components should be installed
4. Take accurate measurements and mark reference lines to guide installation
5. Decide on the best installation method for each job site based on the layout and building type
6. Carry out repairs or maintenance work on solar systems and other installed products when needed
7. Keep tools, materials, and job supplies organized and ready to go each day
8. Load and unload equipment and materials from company trucks, ensuring safe handling
9. Use various hand and power tools to complete installations and adjustments
10. Build or assemble scaffolding or other platforms to safely access work areas
11. Prepare simple paperwork like job notes, work orders, or basic invoices after each job
12. Provide courteous, respectful service when speaking with clients on-site
13. Troubleshoot any installation issues and test systems to make sure they’re working properly and meet safety standards

Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education or technical training is an asset
2. Previous experience in solar installation, roofing, or construction is preferred
3. Physically fit and comfortable working at heights and in outdoor conditions
4. Accurate and detail-oriented, with pride in delivering quality work
5. Ability to work independently and in a team setting
6. Tasks may involve repetitive movements and extended periods of standing, climbing, or kneeling
7. Strong client focus with a professional, respectful attitude on-site
