Salary: $28.10 – 36.00 per hour for 36 - 44 hours per week

Terms of Employment: Full Time, Permanent

Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years 

Location: 4600 Queen St, Niagara Falls, ON L2E 2L6

Job Duties:

  • Supervise warehouse workers, manage inventory, and ensure that goods are received, stored, and shipped out efficiently and accurately.
  • Oversee and coordinate the daily operations in the warehouse with cold storage facility (fridge and freezer) where goods in fridge (e.g. vegetables), intended for raw consumption, are stored at a temperature between 2°C and 4°C (36°F and 39 °F) and goods in freezer (e.g. sashimi-grade fish), intended for raw consumption, are frozen at −35 °C (−31 °F) in which various processes aimed at maintaining the quality of the food can be carried out.
  • Maintain regularly cleaning and prevent fridge odors using natural deodorizers like baking soda and maintain a consistent temperature to keep smelling fresh.
  • Maintain a freezer regularly cleaning the interior and exterior, defrosting, in a proper temperature management, and preventing crucial maintenance. Ensure proper door seals and maintain optimal temperature levels.
  • Work in the fridge and freezer to move in and out items.
  • Label all items, including expiration dates for easy identification and retrieval.
  • Ensure older items in the fridge and freezer are moved out before newer ones are moved in.
  • Follow maintenance practices, ensuring the longevity and optimal performance of warehouse fridge and freezer while maintaining food safety and minimizing energy consumption.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures for safety and security, standards and regulations in force and participate in their improvement.
  • Resolve various problems and implement corrective measures and process improvements.
  • Requisition supplies and materials, maintain accurate inventory records and coordinate with associated restaurants.
  • Ensure smooth operation of computer systems and equipment.
  • Conduct performance reviews of supervised workers.
  • Perform the same duties as workers supervised.
