Job Description:
We are seeking a caring, responsible, and experienced Nanny to provide attentive care and supervision for our child in a loving home environment. This is a full-time, permanent position based in NW Calgary.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide attentive, hands-on care and ensure the child’s safety at all times, supervise and attend to the daily needs and routines of the children
2. Organize and participate in age-appropriate educational and play activities, plan and lead recreational activities, such as crafts, games, walks, and playdates
3. Create a positive environment by encouraging good behavior in accordance with the parents' guidance, ensure the child’s environment is clean, organized, and hazard-free
4. Maintain daily routines such as meals, hygiene, playtime, and naps
5. Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks, cook and serve well-balanced meals and snacks suited to the children’s needs, assist children with feeding, dressing, and bathing
6. Prepare children for nap times and bedtime routines
7. Perform light housekeeping duties related to the child (laundry, tidying toys, cleaning up after meals)
8. Keep accurate records of the child’s routines, health, moods, and activities throughout the day
9. Monitor developmental milestones and communicate any concerns to parents, keep accurate records of the child’s routines, health, moods, and activities throughout the day
10. Support early development through engaging conversation, storytelling, and interactive play
Qualifications and Requirements:
Completion of high school or equivalent
Previous childcare or nanny experience preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and maintain household routines
Able to multitask and adapt to unexpected situations or schedule changes
Patient and nurturing with a calm demeanor
Trustworthy, honest, and dependable
Work Setting:
Employer’s private home
