Super Glass & Mirror Service Inc.

We are currently searching for one (1) Glazier to start immediately.

Location of work:

Various locations in the GTA

Duties:

• Operate CADD and other computer software systems
• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine type and thickness of glass, frame, installation procedure and materials required
• Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
• Work from man-lift mobile equipment, cranes and other lifting equipment
• Instruct apprentices

Applicants must demonstrate progressive rope access techniques to promote a positive company image.

Installation specialization:

• Skylights and slope glazed installations
• Curtain walls
• Stained glass installations
• Aluminum storefronts, barrel vaults, solariums, commercial window systems
• Shower doors and tub enclosures
• Suspended glazing system
• Vehicle windows, windshields and sunroofs, Display cases

Work setting:

• On-site customer service

Type of Glass / Materials:

• Mirrors
• Sealed units

Glass Cutting Equipment and Techniques

• Cutting wheels
• Circular cutters
• Automatic finger pull machine,
• Cut glass plate manually (straight cuts)
• Cut glass plate free-hand (curved cuts)
• Etch glass
• Notch glass plates
• Sandblast decal designs on glass
• Temper glass
• Tint glass

Equipment:

• Carbide and diamond bits

Work Experience Required:

• 3 years to less than 5 years

Skills Requirements:

-          Knowledge of glass & glazing for residential & commercial glazing

-          Driver’s licence

-          Storefront/Curtain Wall replacement/installation

-          Shower Installation

-          Measure and cutting on site

Terms of Employment:

Permanent Position 40 hours per week

Hours of work:

From Monday to Friday

The shift is from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm

Expected to regularly work 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday for 8 hours a day. These hours may change based on business needs. You may also be asked to work additional hours beyond the regular hours, when business needs require it, and will be expected to be flexible with availability.

Salary:

CAD$ 36.00 per hour
