Job description

Mr. and Mrs Bajwa is looking for a patient, hardworking, attentive, trustworthy caregiver for their elderly Mother. The care will be taken at her home situated in Surrey, BC, Canada  V3S 8R8.   

Job title: Elderly Caregiver

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time (40hr/week)

Vacancy: 1

Wage: C$24.00/hr.

Language Requirement: English.

Qualification: Senior Secondary (High) School Certificate.

Experience: Not Mandatory.

Start Date: As soon as possible

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure a safe and healthy home environment is consistently maintained.
• Administer medication according to the doctor’s instruction.
• Assist the elderly in performing regular exercises as prescribed by healthcare provider.  
• Take complete charge of the house hold when the householders are away from home and ensure elderly are not left unattended.  
• Accompany the elderly for doctor’s appointments.
• Handle laundry, maintain overall cleanliness, and keep her bed neat and tidy
• Provide emotional support and compassionate.
• Oversee and support her overall well-being and daily needs.
• Cook and provide healthy meals as directed by the doctor.
• Provide support with personal care tasks, including oral hygiene and grooming.
• Perform cleaning duties such as clearing up after meals and washing soiled linens and clothing.
