Job Position: Restaurant Assistant Manager (NOC: 60030)

Salary: $ 36.25/Hourly on 32 to 40 hours/week work schedule

Job Responsibilities of Restaurant Assistant Manager (NOC 60030)
1. Operational Management
- Assist in overseeing daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with company standards.
- Ensure all food safety, health, and sanitation regulations are followed (e.g., Safe Food Handling, local health codes).
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders for supplies, and manage stock to prevent shortages or wastage.
- Assist in scheduling staff shifts and managing labor costs effectively.
- Collaborating with suppliers and vendors: Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, ensuring the restaurant is well-stocked with necessary supplies.
2. Customer Service & Quality Control
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly and maintaining a welcoming environment.
- Maintain product quality, consistency, and presentation according to Tim Hortons’ standards.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally.
3. Staff Supervision & Training
- Train, coach, and motivate team members to deliver excellent service and follow operational procedures.
- Supervise staff performance, provide feedback, and assist in disciplinary actions where required.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork.
4. Financial & Administrative Duties
- Assist in managing cash handling, daily deposits, and reconciling sales reports.
- Support the Restaurant Manager in meeting sales targets and controlling costs (food, labor, waste).
- Complete administrative tasks such as payroll, employee records, and compliance documentation.
- Assist management in completing annual performance appraisal of employees
5. Health & Safety Compliance
- Ensure a safe workplace by enforcing occupational health and safety policies.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure equipment is properly maintained.
- Follow emergency procedures (e.g., fire safety, first aid) as needed.
6. Marketing & Promotions
- Support local marketing initiatives and promotions to drive sales.
- Encourage upselling and ensure promotional items are properly displayed.
7. Miscellaneous duties
- Any other duties assigned by management from time to time
Skills & Qualifications Required:
- Completion of a High school diploma and a college diploma or equivalent program is required.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role (fast food/restaurant preferred).
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., Food Handler Certification).
- Ability to work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends, and holidays).
- Basic financial and computer skills (POS systems)
