Job description:
Terms of employment: Full time, permanent, 40 to 60 hours per week
Tasks
- Compute the dimensions and tolerances of machine parts
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables
- Set up and adjust production machinery/tools
- Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance
- Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments
- Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
- Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools
Education
- Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience
Experience and specialization
- Must have 1-2 years of experience
- Must be able to lift to 23 kg (50 lbs)
