Job Title: TRAILER MECHANIC

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time.

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible.

Work Location: 16108 Blundell Road, Richmond, BC, V6W 0A2 Canada 

Wage rate: $36.60/hour for 40 hours/week.

Education: Secondary (high) School Graduation Certificate

Experience: Minimum 1 years to less than 2 years

Language: English

Job Duties: 

• Performing general & preventive maintenance services.
• Completing repairs or replacing defective parts, components or systems as required.
• Testing and inspecting vehicle to ensure repairs are completed to manufacturer specifications.
• Documenting serial number & recording repair story on work orders, noting problems or unusual situations encountered during repairs.
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems including structural, brake and electrical systems.
• Inspect and test mechanical units, such as engines, transmissions, axles and brake systems, to locate faults and malfunctions.
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions and confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit.
• Repair or replace mechanical units or components using hand and power tools.
• Test and adjust units to specifications for proper performance.
• Complete reports to record problems and work performed.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, handling heavy loads, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, overtime required.
