Job description:


 

As an Supervisor, Security Guards, you will be responsible for providing leadership to security personnel and ensuring operational compliance is adhered to during scheduled events. The primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Organizing workflow and ensuring employees understand their duties and delegated tasks.

  • Monitoring employee productivity and providing constructive feedback and coaching.

  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of clients and staff.

  • Assisting staff in integrating into client event sites.

  • Assisting in crisis management within teams when necessary.

  • De-escalating conflicts and providing leadership through problem-solving and crisis intervention techniques.

  • Completing SDF (Security Duty Form), IR (Incident Report), and employee praise/infraction forms.

  • Logging shift occurrence information for leadership and office records.

  • Engaging in active listening and problem-solving around staffing challenges.

  • Recommending appropriate resources to address staffing needs.

  • Meeting performance goals and deadlines in alignment with the company’s plans and vision.


Key Qualifications:

Your application must describe your qualifications as they relate to:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience supervising personnel in event environments.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in events.

  • Demonstrated experience in client interaction within an event capacity.


Additional Requirements:

  • Stay Safe Certification (provided by Sentinel).

  • Proven ability to supervise large teams effectively.

  • Advanced knowledge of security industry practices and issues.

  • Strong situational assessment skills based on available information and prior experience.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, staff, community agencies, and the general public.

  • Proficiency in preparing, writing, and maintaining reports and records.

  • Expertise in de-escalating conflicts using effective crisis intervention techniques.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work various shifts in a 24-hour operation and travel to multiple event locations in a timely manner.

Pay: $36.50 per hour
