JMG Carrier Ltd., corporate office located at 15328 48 Avenue, Surrey, BC, V3S 0L2, is looking for 10 long-haul truck drivers for various locations across Canada and the USA.
Terms of employment: Full-time, permanent
Duties:
Receive and relay information to central dispatch
Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Perform brake adjustments. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
Perform preventive maintenance, tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo
Requirements:
Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
Air Brake (Z) Endorsement Experience not required; will train.
Basic oral and written English skills are required
Basic security clearance,
Criminal record check,
Driving record check (abstract),
Drug test
Transportation and travel information: Willing to travel internationally, Willing to travel cross-border, Willing to travel for extended periods, Willing to travel overnight, Valid driver's license
Wages offered: $34.70 per hour; Overtime after 60 hours of work per week
