Location: 36 Blackfoot Rd, suite Office 1, Inside TNS Sherwood Park, AB T8A 4P4

                  (Work locations may vary. Frequent or constant travel is required from the employee)

Salary: $36.20 hourly / 30 hours per week

Overtime: 1.5 times gross pay after completion of 44 hours

Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Type: Permanent employment

Job Responsibilities

  • Construct and install wooden structures including walls, floors, ceilings, and frameworks.
  • Review and interpret construction blueprints, drawings, and plans to follow project requirements and measurements.
  • Accurately measure and cut wood or other materials using appropriate hand and power tools.
  • Assemble and secure wood components with nails, screws, adhesives, or other fastening methods to ensure durability and structural soundness.
  • Prepare tenders and quotations
  • Install fixtures, cabinets, windows, doors, and related hardware.
  • Repair or replace outdated or damaged wooden structures, furniture, and fixtures.
  • Perform finishing tasks such as sanding, staining, painting, and varnishing to enhance surface appearance.
  • Schedule, co-ordinate and supervise workers and work on sites
  • Maintain compliance with safety guidelines and regulations on all job sites.

 Eligibility Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year to less than 2 of carpentry experience.
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of construction techniques and building materials.
  • Good physical fitness to meet the demands of the role.
  • Strong awareness of and commitment to safety regulations.
  • Effective communication skills for working with clients, colleagues, and supervisors.
  • Ability to work in environments that may be noisy and dusty.
