We are looking for a Parking Facilities Manager to join our team immediately.The work location for this position will be from Cumberland Parkade, Yorkville at 148 Cumberland Street, Toronto, ON M5R 3N5. The Parking Facilities Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operations, maintenance, staffing, safety, and financial performance of parking facilities to ensure efficient, secure, and customer-focused management. This is a permanent, full-time position of 30 hours/week with an annual salary of $70,500 plus benefits after 3 months. The language of work for this position is English.
The main responsibilities of the positions include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day functionality of critical facility systems including electrical, lighting, fire and safety systems, elevators, and automated parking equipment
- Conducting regular facility inspections to ensure systems are safe, operational, and in compliance with regulations by documenting issues and following up to ensure timely repairs
- Coordinating with external service providers such as elevator technicians, structural engineers, cleaning and snow removal companies to carry out maintenance and repairs
- Monitoring service quality, ensuring contract terms are met, and escalating deficiencies to senior management when required
- Recruiting training, and supervising facility personnel, ensuring adherence to operational procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards
- Managing employee schedules, reviewing logins and timekeeping, and issuing disciplinary action when necessary, in consultation with senior leadership
- Overseeing building safety and security procedures, including coordination with security guards and use of the camera surveillance system to audit and monitor operations
- Ensuring cleanliness and visual appeal of the facility, addressing issues with cleaning staff, verifying log sheets, and maintaining high public presentation standards
- Managing the facility’s cash float, reviewing pay station reports, and ensuring compliance with procedures for cash pulls, validations, cancellations, and lost tickets
- Maintaining thorough and organizing records for all operational aspects, including contracts, monthly parking, access cards, and financial documentation
- Preparing and submitting detailed operational reports to the Vice President of Operations, including occupancy tracking, pricing comparisons, and audit results
- Maintaining open communication with tenants, customers, staff, event organizers, and contractors to ensure smooth coordination and timely issue resolution
- Ensuring all facility signage are clean, clear, visible, and functional, including digital and electrical signage
- Supporting scheduling and logistics for special events, coordinating with staff and contractors to ensure readiness and appropriate coverage
You must have the following qualifications:
- Completion of post-secondary education in Business, Business Administration, Facility Management or a related discipline
- Experience supervising a team, including training, scheduling, performance management, and disciplinary action
- Knowledge of structural repairs related to post-tension structures
- Strong understanding of applicable building codes, fire and safety regulations, and occupational health and safety standards
- Experience with parking equipment systems (e.g., Amano Opus Parking System) software, with the ability to oversee troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of both hardware and software components
- Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills
- Experience in managing operating budgets, including cash floats, reconciliations, and auditing procedures
