Overview
We are seeking a motivated Civil Draftsperson to join our growing team in Bedford, NS. The successful candidate will provide drafting and design support to engineers and project managers, working primarily on small residential construction projects. This position offers a great opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals to develop hands-on experience in the engineering and construction field.
Languages
Education
- College diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology, or related field
Experience
- 1-2 year of relevant drafting or design support experience
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed engineering plans and technical drawings
- Produce preliminary design sketches and concept layouts
- Assemble full documentation packages and complete drawing sets
- Generate three-dimensional (3D) models using CAD software
- Plan and design buildings and structural systems
- Compile technical reports and design summaries
- Verify that designs, specifications, and building codes are adhered to
- Prepare sketches, floor plans, and graphic elements/illustrations
Experience and Specialization

- AutoCAD (essential)
- MS Office Suite (Word, Excel)
