Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Assistant


Employer: Early Years Education System Inc.
Location: 3000 Victoria Park Ave, Suite 95, North York, ON M2J 4Y2
Salary: $21.00 to $23.00 per hour (to be negotiated)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
Hours of Work: 30 to 40 hours per week
Start Date: As soon as possible

Workplace Information: On-site (no remote work option)


Job Requirements

Languages: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a related childcare setting

Responsibilities

  • Assist early childhood educators in implementing programs that support children’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.

  • Lead activities such as storytelling, singing, and arts and crafts.

  • Help children develop proper eating, dressing, and hygiene habits.

  • Supervise and engage children during indoor and outdoor play.

  • Observe and document children’s behaviour and progress for educator review.

  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers as needed.

  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to program planning.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and inclusive learning environment.

  • Establish positive relationships with coworkers, parents, and community service providers.
