ADP Transport Ltd., a Delta-based freight and logistics company, is looking for 5, reliable Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods over long distances (inter-provincial and/or international routes), ensuring safe delivery of cargo, proper maintenance of the vehicle, and compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
Company Driver Pay Scales:
Hourly wage: 37.50 per hour, working 50-60 hrs per week
Overtime paid as per BC Employment Standards.

Company Driver Requirements:
• Valid Class 1 (or Class A equivalent) commercial driver’s license (or as required to drive long haul trucks in BC).
• Clean driving record.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to do physically demanding tasks: loading/unloading, managing cargo, securing loads.
• Good knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics.
• Fluency in English; ability to read, speak, write so to understand regulations, logging, route directions, etc.
• Ability to perform under pressure, meet schedules, deal with delays and unforeseen conditions (weather, traffic, mechanical issues).
• Ability to pass criminal background check and any other safety/security clearances required by ADP Transport Ltd.
Language:
• Functional English/CLB Level 4 (Canadian Language Bench Mark Level 4 is required as per ICBC requirement)
Duties:
• Plan and adjust routes using navigation systems, GPS, considering fuel efficiency, road/weather conditions and load constraints.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip vehicle inspections: checking brakes, tires, lights, safety equipment, fluids, etc.
• Ensure cargo is properly loaded, secured, and unloaded, safely and in compliance with load weight and safety regulations.
• Maintain hours of service logbooks and ensure compliance with Transport Canada regulations.
• Monitor fuel consumption and vehicle maintenance issues, report any mechanical problems or safety concerns.
• Maintain good communication with dispatch, logistic teams and clients; provide timely status updates.
• Ensure that the vehicle and the goods are kept clean and in good condition.
• Adhere to all safety, health, environmental, and traffic regulations.
Work Conditions & Other Details
• Work location is primarily “on the road.” With base location in Delta BC. Availability for overnight trips and being away from home for periods is required.
• Hours are variable depending on schedules, deliveries and route distances. May involve long driving shifts, overnight rests, weekend work.
• Safety gear and company-provided equipment must be used.
• Must comply with all provincial and federal regulations surrounding long haul trucking, including safety, cargo, and logbook regulations.
