Job Responsibilities
- Provide clients with personalized insurance recommendations across multiple product lines, including business, auto, home, life, super visa, and travel insurance.
- Assess clients’ needs through detailed consultations and present suitable policy options that align with their coverage requirements and budgets.
- Promote renewals and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively generating new business through networking and referrals.
- Calculate premiums, adjustments, refunds, commissions, and other policy-related financials in accordance with company guidelines and regulatory standards.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries, provide clear explanations of policy features, and resolve service issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist clients with claims inquiries by guiding them through documentation, processes, and communication with insurers.
- Process new applications, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and policy changes accurately and within required timelines.
- Maintain complete and compliant client files, ensuring accurate data entry, documentation, and policy information in the company’s systems.
- Collaborate with internal team members to support seamless policy administration, including renewals, follow-ups, and completion of required forms.
- Prepare regular sales and activity reports to evaluate performance and identify opportunities for growth.
- Stay updated on insurance products, underwriting guidelines, industry changes, and regulatory requirements through ongoing professional development and training.
- Uphold a high standard of service by providing clients with accurate, transparent, and up-to-date information at all times.
- Perform other related duties as required to ensure the highest quality service is consistently delivered to clients.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- A valid insurance license by the insurance governing body in Canada.
- Prior experience as an insurance advisor, broker, or in a similar role would be an asset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Proficiency in mathematics and the ability to accurately calculate premiums, refunds, commissions, and adjustments.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Commitment to continuous professional development through attendance at training sessions, team meetings, and other learning opportunities.
