Job Description:
• Unload materials from truck and unroll roofing material.
• Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs.
• Install and remove the necessary barriers, ramps, outsourcing, slabs of concrete, risers, and catwalks from construction sites.
• Combine, add and allocate materials like concrete and asphalt.
• Perform emergency leak repairs and general maintenance for a variety of roof types.
• Help with aligning pipes and carry out associated tasks while constructing oil and gas pipelines.
• Grading the ground to precise specifications using a rake and shovel.
• Equip all the roofers with safety equipment, scaffolding, and hoists.
• Attach roofing papers by using nails.
• Cover roofs with layers of roofing felt or asphalt strips before installing tile, slate, or composition materials.
• Provide help in installing boilers, furnaces, air handlers, condensers, water heaters, and ductless splits.
• Help with the destruction of buildings by using pry bars and other equipment, and organize, clean and stack saved materials.
• Organize traffic circulation at or close to building sites.
• Perform other duties as instructed by supervisor.
Requirements:
• No formal education is required.
• Experience is an asset; however, on-the-job training will be provided.
