Job requirements

Languages: English

Education: Bachelor's degree

Experience: 5 years or more

Additional Skills

Supervise other graphic designers or graphic arts technicians, Estimate costs of materials and time to complete graphic designs and illustrations, Adapt existing illustrations, Work in a multidisciplinary environment

Business Equipment and Computer Applications

Autodesk 3ds Max, Adobe Freehand, Corel Draw, InDesign, Adobe Suite, MS Office, Adobe Illustrator, HTML

Graphic Designer Specific Skills

Use existing photo and illustration banks and typography guides, Co-ordinate all aspects of production for print, audio-visual or electronic materials, Co-ordinate sub-contracting, Develop the graphic elements that meet the clients' objectives, Establish guidelines for illustrators or photographers, Prepare sketches, layouts and graphic elements, Determine the medium best suited to produce the desired visual effect and the most appropriate vehicle for communication, Consult with clients to establish the overall look, graphic elements and content of communications materials

Illustrator Specific Skills

Consult with clients to determine the nature and content of illustrations in order to meet their communications needs, Assist in developing storyboards for electronic productions, Develop and produce realistic or representational sketches and final illustrations, Produce 2-D and 3-D animated drawings or computer illustrations.

Fabricator Specific Skills would be an asset
Installing vinyl directly onto buildings, windows and vehicles.  Operating a Laminator and Vinyl cutter.  Building and installing dimensional letters and metal signs.  Buidling and installing Light Boxes and Awnings.  Class 5 Driver's License, Capable of lifting 50 lbs.
