Long haul truck driver- HEHAR TRANSPORT INC

Location: Brampton, ON L6R 0K8
Work location: On road
Salary: $36.00 hourly / 30 to 35 hours per week
Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time
Start date: Starts as soon as possible

Job Requirements
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
On the road: Work locations may vary. Frequent or constant travel is required from the employee.
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: AZ class license
Documentation knowledge: Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip),                        Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports

Tasks

• Load and unload goods at various shippers and receivers.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Properly secure the freight for both Hazmat commodity and General commodity to ensure safety during transit.
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes and Reefer Temperature
• Perform emergency roadside repairs
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Check and maintain reefer temperature for Refrigerated goods
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch for any delays and issues.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
• Inspect pulp temperature for fresh produce and maintain as per customers requirements.
