• Accurately measuring, cutting wood, and other sofa furniture materials.
• Calculate specifications based on drawings.
• Hand tools are used to shape and cut raw materials into wooden components.
• Measure, cut wood and other materials of furniture.
• Using hand tools or boring machines, drill holes for screws or dowels.
• Operate woodworking machines and saws.
• Prepare wooden surfaces by framing, sanding, trimming joints, and fitting parts together.
• Attach parts and subassemblies to form a complete unit by gluing, fitting and clamping together.
• Plan and survey to identify and implement trending styles and latest ideas for sofa frame construction.
• Make frames according to customer’s specification.
• Estimate the cost of raw materials required to construct wood fixtures.
• Ensure the consistency of wood work by smoothing and varying operations with planes and staining materials.
