Specific Skills

- Counsel students regarding educational, career or vocational issues;

- Counsel students regarding personal and social issues;

- Consult with teachers, parents, administrators and community agencies;

- Co-ordinate the provision of counselling and information services to students, parents and teachers;

- Administer and interpret standardized intelligence, aptitude and interest tests;

- Refer students to other specialized services when required;

- Participate in staff meetings, educational conferences and workshops;

- Develop guidance and counselling programs;

- Visit colleges and secondary schools to provide academic information to prospective students, their parents and educational institutions; and

- Prepare and deliver presentations at conferences, workshops and symposia
