Job Description:
Golden Express Trucking Inc in Surrey, BC is looking for an experienced Transport Manager to join at the earliest.
Job Duties:
• Organize and control the operations of a transportation company
• Determine the safety procedures for handling of dangerous goods, and ensure compliance with transport regulations to drivers
• Oversee dispatch of Long Haul Trucks
• Control the company budget, including preparing reports for the management
• Prepare the changes plan to schedule and policies
• Recruit and train staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
• Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions
• Organize and control the operations of a transportation company
• Negotiate with subcontractors and insurance company representatives for services and preferential rates.
Job requirements:
• A bachelor's degree in business administration or engineering is required.
• 2-3 years of experience in transportation operations is required, that includes supervisory experience.
• Good communication skills is a must with excellent inter personal skills.
Benefits: 4% vacation pay of the gross salary will be paid each pay period.
