Position Summary

Archer Daycare is seeking an Early Childhood Educator (E.C.E.) to join its team.  This role involves caring for infants and toddlers and supporting children in there learning.  Archer Daycare strives to create a warm, nurturing, and supportive environment for its children and parents.

 

Job Detail

Job Title: Early Childhood Educator (E.C.E)

Positions Available: 1

Salary: $18.00 per hour for 40 hours per week

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Language: English

Start Date of Employment: As Soon As Possible

Vacation: 4% of gross salary in lieu of vacation time

Work Location: New Westminster, BC

Education: College/CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate

Security: We require a criminal record check

Experience: A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant work experience

 

Job Description

  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems
  • Establish guidelines for behaviour and assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children with parents/guardians and other staff members
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
  • Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records and ordering supplies and equipment
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
  • Maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties.
