Chief Executive Officer

Do you want to contribute to the growth, innovation and vibrancy of the community?

Would you like to help individuals and families match their philanthropic goals and legacy wishes with community needs?  Founded on Jewish values, our client, the Jewish Foundation of Manitoba, cultivates an endowment fund, stewards the assets entrusted to it, distributes grants reflecting donor wishes and community priorities and works closely with other community agencies to strengthen Jewish and general communities in Manitoba. They are seeking a passionate, connected, results driven Chief Executive Officer who will build on the success of its 53-year history and continue to grow its contribution in the community.

Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer will lead the organization to implement the strategic directions of the Board and achieve its vision, goals and objectives.  In addition to overseeing the day-to-day operations of a dynamic Foundation, the Chief Executive Officer will ensure the development plan is effectively implemented and will collaborate with target donors to establish endowments that meet their individual goals.  The CEO will be a highly visible ambassador in the community, stewarding the Foundation brand and protecting its reputation as a trusted, relevant and valuable contributor to the community.

You will bring a post-secondary degree in business or a related discipline complemented with 10 years’ senior leadership experience in a large non-profit, public or private sector organization. A demonstrated track record developing and implementing strategies, managing large budgets and leading philanthropic fund development is required.  An in-depth understanding of the Jewish community and an ability to develop and nurture strong relationships with other agencies, donors, Board members and the general public are a must.  Experience and expertise in fund management, investments and estate planning would be considered an asset.

If you have excellent communication skills, an effective balance of confidence and humility and the ability to develop a high-performance culture, this may be the opportunity for you!

If you are interested in pursuing this unique opportunity, please submit your resume by June 23, 2017 to Leslie Dornan, Senior Partner, MNP Consulting at For more information about the position, please go to for the full position profile.
