MOM & DAD Healthcare Services Inc. is a care provider company with its main focus on care for senior clients. We consider the importance of adapting our caregivers to the conditions ahead, so we look for caregivers that are flexible and accessible. We know that customer needs a change every day, and our plans to service them change accordingly, as well as solid experience in the industry.

We are seeking a Nursing services aide to join our team of professionals in a full-time capacity. The ideal candidate shall have at least 3 to 5 years experience as a nurse, nurse’s aide, patient care assistant or similar medical related position; and at a minimum be High School graduate. The position involves working at various locations, therefore a Driver’s License is required.  We also require the candidate to have current CPR and First Aid certificates.

At MOM & DAD Healthcare Services the privacy and security of our clients are our top priority and therefore we require the candidate to undergo, or demonstrate the following,

  • Criminal record check,
  • Child abuse registry check,
  • Child welfare check,
  • Tuberculosis test,
  • Current Immunization

The work can be physical at times and the candidate needs to show capability to deal with such conditions, as work under pressure, repetitive tasks, physically demanding, manual dexterity, attention to detail, ability to distinguish between colours, standing for extended periods, combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, walking, and more.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate good Interpersonal awareness, Flexibility, Dependability, Effective interpersonal skills, Organized, Reliability, Judgement, and be Client focused. The candidate may also be required to Supply and empty bed pans, Serve meal trays and feed patients, make beds and maintain patients' rooms, Maintain inventory of supplies, take patients' blood pressure, temperature and pulse, Weigh, lift, turn and position patients, Supervise patients' exercise routines, Administer suppositories, colonic irrigations and enemas, Bathe, dress and groom patients, Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher, Answer call signals, Collect specimens, Accompany patients on outside recreational activities and perform other duties related to patient care and comfort, Administer first aid in emergency situations.

Our work settings and location maybe at Home care and visiting care agency, Public or community health centre, Youth drop-in centre, Rehabilitation centre and special health institution, Hospital or home for the aged, Nursing home/home for the aged, Hospital/medical facility or clinic.

The salary is set at $21 per hour, and it is expected that you will be working between 30 – 44 hours weekly. Medical benefits and paid leave are included.
