Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time (Although this position is a full-time position, we also encourage part-time job seekers to apply)
Wage: $15.00 -16.00/hr based on experience, 36-40 hrs/wk, with 4% vacation pay (Overtime rate will be paid after 40 hrs)
* Education: Completion of secondary school
- At least 2 years experience in related fields or,
- completion of a college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management, or related disciplines.
Work Location: Berth 5 1 Ferry Causeway, Delta, BC, V4M 4G6
Specific Skills, Abilities:
Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of staff who prepare and serve food
Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation
Establish methods to meet work schedules
Maintain records of repairs, sales and wastage
Train staff in job duties, and sanitation and safety procedures
Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
May participate in the selection of food service staff and assist in the development of policies, procedures and budgets
May plan cafeteria menus and determine related food and labour costs.
