Madahar Framing is looking to hire hardworking and experienced framing carpenter. We are a very well established construction company in the lower mainland area of Vancouver Regional District. We specialize in the framing and carpentry work for building new homes, and renovate the existing ones. We work in residential and commercial sectors.

Job description:

Job title: Framing Carpenter

Wage: $27/Hour  Vacancy: 1

Terms of employment Permanent, Full time 35 to 40 hours / week

Major Work Area

Construction, Renovation, Maintenance and repair

Specific Skills

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements, Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials, Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems, Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware, Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments

Most of work settings are Commercial and Residential. This position requires Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. The language requirement is English but punjabi speaking is an asset. The candidate has experience of 1 to 2 years. 

Tools and Transportation

Safety equipment/gear, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety glasses/goggles. The Candidate must have Valid Driving Licence.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

Large workload, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Tight deadlines, Physically demanding, Combination of sitting, standing and walking. The work environment is noisy, dusty and at heights
