Job Title: Information technology (IT) analyst (NOC 2171)

Job Type: Full-time / Permanent Position

Salary: $41.60 / hour

Hours – 40hrs / Week

Location: Concord - Ontario

Education: Bachelor's degree

Language: English (Required)

Job Responsibilities:

 

• Understanding of business and technology needs for a transportation, warehousing & distribution domain
• Design High and Detailed level technical test scenarios based on requirements; Review of test scripts/cases.
• Interact with the client/business partners for the quality delivery to make sure the customer satisfaction
• Evaluating the functionality of existing systems and upgrade as per the need
• Design, develop and test the efficient IT systems to meet business and technology needs
• Integrate multiple systems and reconcile needs of different teams
• Selecting and purchasing appropriate hardware and the software
• Managing IT budgets
• Ensuring software licensing laws are followed
• Implementing and managing security or integrity and backup procedures
• Scheduling system upgrades
• Resolve project issues, escalate issues/concerns within the organization, monitor and report project status on a regular basis
• Providing user training, support, and advice to use the system efficiently
• Gathering feedback from end users to continue improving systems
• Testing and making enhancement in the systems to ensure that that they operate reliably
• Managing secure network access for remote users
• Keeping up to date with new technology
• Designing maintenance procedures and putting them into operation
• Training new staff

 

Qualifications and Skills:

• 1 years to less than 2 years in a related role
• Proven experience as an IT Analyst, IT Consultant or similar role
• Knowledge of databases, system security and troubleshooting
• Understanding of business practices
• Excellent communication skills
• Analytical mindset
• Problem-solving aptitude
