Job Description
Job Duties:

Read and interpret blueprints and layout sketches to determine required material and supply.
Shape, trim, face and cut marble or stone preparatory to setting, using power saws, cutting equipment, and hand tools.
Lay brick to build shells of chimneys and smokestacks or to line or reline industrial furnaces, kilns, boilers and similar installations.
Restoring, cleaning or painting existing brick structures.
Lay bricks, stones or similar material to build/repair walls, chimneys, foundation, garden walls other decorative installation.
Construct and install prefabricated stone carvings/masonry units for buildings
Replace defective or missing masonry units on walls or floors
Lining or relining furnaces and boilers using acid-resistant bricks.
Lay and align stones according to set construction plans and specifications.

Requirements:

Completion of secondary school education.
Post-secondary education or minimum 6-months experience in a similar trade is required.
