Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience
Job Duties:
- Build and repair various types of furniture such as sofas, chairs etc using hand or power tools.
- Provide estimate of raw material required to complete the orders.
- Smothering of services, application of varnishing/staining materials.
- Take Measurements to mark furniture dimensions or layout using tolls such as rules, tapes and pencils.
- Produce wooden components by cutting and shaping raw materials with the aid of hand or power tools.
- Assemble and join wood parts to form structures using various joinery methods.
- Create precise holes on wood pieces to allow space for the lodging of screws and bolts
- Read and follow construction design plans to produce the desired structure.
- Provide guidance to junior or trainee carpenters.
