Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of lightweight steel and other materials.
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware.
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and other buildings.
- May prepare cost estimates for clients.
- Supervise other construction workers.
Skills Requirement:
- Completion of secondary school is required
- At least 1 year of construction industry experience required or completion of a relevant apprenticeship program
- Bachelor’s Degree is an asset
