Early Childhood Educator (ECE) – $29/hr + Benefits
 Penticton, BC |  Full-Time, Permanent |  On-Site

OneSky Community Resources is seeking a qualified and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team.


Position Overview

The early childhood educator will design and deliver developmentally appropriate programs that foster the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth of children. The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement educational and recreational programs in line with licensing requirements.

  • Lead activities such as storytelling, music, art, dramatic play, and outdoor exploration.

  • Encourage creativity, curiosity, and independence in children.

  • Support daily routines, including eating, dressing, hygiene, and rest periods.

  • Observe, document, and communicate children’s developmental progress and any behavioural concerns to parents and supervisors.

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, families, colleagues, and community partners.

  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that promotes overall well-being.

  • Attend staff meetings and participate in ongoing professional development.


Qualifications

  • Diploma or Certificate in Early Childhood Education (1–2 years).

  • Valid Early Childhood Education Certificate (ECE).

  • 1–2 years of related experience in a licensed childcare setting.

  • Criminal record check required.

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.


Compensation & Benefits

  • $29/hour – 40 hours per week.
