 Great Job Opportunity

1 x Permanent Full-Time Restaurant Assistant Manager wanted for “1609673 Alberta Ltd. o/a Golden Bell Sub and Grill Vietnamese Restaurant” located at Unit #101 - 1865 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 1Z8.  Wage rate is $36.00 per hour and works at least 30-44 hours per week. Benefit includes 4% vacation pay and continuous learning opportunity.

JOB DUTIES

  • Planning, organizing, directing, controlling and evaluating the daily operations of a Vietnamese cuisine restaurant.
  • Assigning job duties to staff and supervising and monitoring their work progress.
  • Monitoring manpower needs and recruiting staff and arranging training sessions.
  • Setting up staff work schedules according to the restaurant’s needs.
  • Conducting staff performance reviews and providing appropriate coaching.
  • Responsible for controlling the restaurant’s inventory, while monitoring its revenues and modifying procedures and prices as often as required.
  • Acknowledging customer complaints and providing appropriate and prompt resolution to the concerns.
  • Ensuring health, safety regulations, and proper food handling procedures are followed according to the company’s high standards.
  • Contacting suppliers and negotiating for the required food and other restaurant’s supplies and needs.
  • Overseeing events and special orders for all occasions and catering services.
  • Providing excellent customer service experience, while encouraging all the other staff and assisting them to do the same.

Must be able and willing to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and overtime based on restaurant needs.

Education: Completion of secondary school is required.

Language: English

Work experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the food service restaurant work environment. Experience in Vietnamese cuisine is an asset.
