Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide in-home care and assistance for an elderly client in a private residence. The successful candidate will assist with daily living activities, personal care, and companionship to ensure the client’s comfort, safety, and well-being.

Work Schedule

Flexible hours including:

• Morning

• Day

• Evening

• Night

• Early morning

• Weekends

• On call

• Overtime may be available

Work Setting

• Employer’s private home

• Non-smoking environment

• Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis (room and board provided).
  Note: Live-in accommodation is optional and not a condition of employment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide bedside and personal care

• Assist with bathing and personal hygiene

• Assist with mobility and regular exercise (e.g., walking)

• Provide companionship and emotional support

• Assist with feeding or feed the client

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals

• Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry and linens

• Monitor and support the client’s daily needs

Requirements

• Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma (3 months to less than 1 year) in Personal Support Worker or a related field, or equivalent experience

• Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant caregiving experience

• Certificate: Personal Support Worker Certificate preferred

• Language: English

• Security: Criminal record check required
