Job Duties:
- Ensure the information on prescriptions is accurate before processing.
- Enter and maintain client information in the pharmacy database and prescription records.
- Assist pharmacists with the preparation and dispensing of medications.
- Prepare medications for clients under the supervision of the pharmacist.
- Compound, package, and label pharmaceutical products according to established procedures.
- Maintain inventories of medications and pharmaceutical products and organize stock.
- Organize and maintain inventory of pharmaceutical supplies and related materials.
- Maintain accurate prescription records and related documentation.
- Interpret physicians' prescription specifications and verify information with the pharmacist when required.
- Process insurance claims, including health insurance and workers' compensation claims.
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain pharmacy equipment and ensure the work area remains hygienic.
- Ensure adherence to pharmacy safety regulations and quality assurance standards.
