Position: Store Manager Retail

Job location: 437 3rd Avenue Kamloops BC V2C 2J5
Wage rate: $40 per hour, 32 to 40 hours per week.
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience.
Language: Good knowledge of English
Job Duties:
- Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate the overall operations of the liquor retail store.
- Determine product selection and oversee purchasing, pricing, and inventory control of alcoholic beverages and related products.
- Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and schedule staff; monitor performance and ensure high customer service standards.
- Manage daily store operations including sales, cash handling, merchandising, and opening/closing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with provincial liquor laws, licensing requirements, and health and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies, promotions, and in-store displays to increase sales.
- Monitor revenues, control expenses, and prepare budgets and financial reports.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints to maintain strong customer relationships.
- Maintain inventory records, conduct stock counts, and coordinate with suppliers and distributors.
- Ensure store security, prevent theft, and enforce loss prevention procedures.
Working Conditions: Candidates should be physically fit, able to lift weight (50lbs). Should be punctual, reliable, self-motivated and able to work as a team.
