Title of position: personal support worker, caregiver, for private home

 

Employer is seeking to hire 2 workers into the same position

 

The candidates are to care for elderly lady with Parkinson decease and for her elderly spouse.

Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home; prepare and serve nutritious meals; support the emotional well-being of the couple; provide companionship; deliver personal care with extensive hands-on mobility assistance (including regular lifting, transfers, repositioning, and walking support for a client with Parkinson’s disease); assist with daily mobility exercises and routines; closely monitor and mitigate fall risks; wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens; perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties; assume full responsibility for the household.

 

Candidates must be physically capable of performing frequent mobility assistance and transfers, and able to handle demanding caregiving conditions, including prolonged periods of standing, walking, and active physical support.

 

Terms of employment: 30 hours/week, permanent, full-time, mornings, day, evening, with overtime if needed.

Wages $21.50 per hour

Work experience required: at least 1 year of caregiving experience is needed to perform well at this job

Language required to do the work: English

First aid certification
