Job Title: Long-Haul Truck Driver (NOC 73300)

Terms of Employment: 40 hours per week, Full-time/ Permanent

Start Date: As soon as possible

Wage: $36.60 per hour

Overtime: 1.5 times the regular pay for every hour exceeding 60hrs/week

Benefits:  As per company policy

Vacation Pay: 4% vacation

Shift:  Early Morning, Evening, Morning, Day, Weekend, Overtime,

Job Duties:

• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• Perform brake adjustments.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs.
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo.

Education:

• Completion of Secondary school is required.

Credentials:

• Air Brakes Endorsement
• Class 1 or A Driver’s License
• Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years experience is required.

Language:

• Proficiency to communicate in basic English.
