Job Description
AHEER TRANSPORTATION LTD. is seeking experienced and dependable Welders to join our team in Delta, BC. The successful candidates will perform a variety of welding and metal fabrication tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
Responsibilities
- Interpret welding process specifications
- Operate manual, semi-automatic, and automated welding equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications
- Examine welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
- Operate flame-cutting and oxygen arc cutting equipment
- Operate brakes, shears, and metal shaping machines
- Fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal components
- Determine weldability of materials
- Fabricate and repair metal parts and products
- Operate brazing and soldering equipment
- Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding equipment
Welding Techniques Required
- Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)
- Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG)
- Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG)
- Submerged Arc Welding (SAW)
Equipment Experience
- Arc welding machines
- Brazing machines
- Gas welding machines
Requirements
- Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience
- 3 to less than 5 years of welding experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
Work Conditions

- Handling heavy loads up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
