Altro Industries Inc., operating as Altro Labels, is a well-established company in the commercial printing and packaging industry, specializing in high-quality product label solutions. We are committed to maintaining a safe, efficient, and productive manufacturing environment and are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Factory Maintenance Man/Woman on a full-time basis to join our team.

Position Details

• Wage: $58,000 – $60,000 annually (negotiable)

• Hours: 30 hours per week

• Start Date: As soon as possible

• Work Schedule: Early mornings, evenings, weekends, day, night, and shift work may be required

• Work Location: 3030 190th Street, Surrey, BC V3Z 9V2

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate industrial cleaning equipment to remove paper dust, packaging materials, waste, and other production debris.
• Perform general maintenance duties within the production facility and warehouse to support daily operations.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of production floors, warehouse areas, maintenance rooms, and loading areas.
• Carry out general building maintenance duties including painting, drywall repair, lighting replacement, and basic repairs.
• Assist external contractors, mechanics, and skilled tradespersons with equipment servicing, installations, and repair work.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance tools, spare parts, lubricants, and operational supplies required for daily maintenance activities.
• Supervise and assist other maintenance workers when necessary
• Perform additional maintenance and cleaning duties as assigned

Qualifications

• No formal education required

• At least one year of related experience

• Experience as handyman or trade helper in manufactruring is an asset

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Physically capable of handling repetitive and demanding tasks

• Reliable, organized, flexible, and proactive

• Comfortable with bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting heavy loads
