Interpret construction blueprints, specifications, and project documentation to determine exterior construction and installation requirements.

Measure, plan, and establish exterior work layouts in compliance with project specifications and applicable building regulations.

Cut, modify, fabricate, and assemble construction materials such as wood, vinyl, fiber cement, and metal for exterior building applications.

Install exterior siding and cladding systems, ensuring accurate positioning, proper fastening, and a high-quality finish.

Install and secure exterior finishing components, including soffits, fascia, trims, flashings, and other weather-resistant elements.

Prepare exterior wall systems by applying moisture barriers, insulation materials, and supporting frameworks before siding installation.

Perform repairs, replacements, and upgrades to exterior cladding, framing, and related structural components when necessary.

Operate and maintain a variety of hand tools, power tools, and equipment to complete exterior construction tasks safely and efficiently.

Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with safety standards, manufacturer specifications, and local building code requirements.

Provide direction and assistance to apprentices, helpers, and junior crew members while promoting safe work practices and quality standards.

Calculate material requirements and contribute to project planning and resource allocation for exterior construction and renovation projects.

Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to workplace health and safety procedures throughout all stages of construction.
