Job title: Certified Dental Assistant

Number of Positions: 1

Start date of employment: As soon as possible

Wages: $38.00/hour, 30 hours/week

Job Duties:

• Prepare patients for dental examinations and assist the dentist during examinations and dental treatments
• Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment
• Prepare dental instruments and filling and dental materials
• Take and develop X-rays
• Polish teeth and clinical crowns and apply fluoride and sealant
• Educate patients concerning oral hygiene
• Perform reception and clerical duties such as prepare invoices, process payments, Schedule and confirm appointments, Record dental procedures performed on patients
• Order dental and office supplies
• Maintain and order supplies
• Perform intra-oral duties

Personal Suitability: Accurate

Certification: Certification by the National Dental Assisting Examining Board

Requirements:

• College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
• 1-2 Years of Experience Required
• Language-English
