Mainpower Electrical Ltd. is a Surrey-based electrical contracting company providing reliable electrical services to residential and commercial clients across the Lower Mainland. Due to ongoing projects and operational requirements, the company is currently hiring one full-time Electrician. The successful candidate will work at various job sites.

Position Description 

Position: Electrician

Type of employment: Full-Time; Permanent

Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible

Work Location: Various Locations in Lower Mainland and/or as per company’s contract and demand 

Salary and Benefits

Salary: $38.40 per hour, 40 hours per week

Job Responsibilities

• Install electrical controls and panel boxes
• Replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes
• Professionalism in customer service
• Keep maintenance reports and documentation
• Splice, join and connect wires
• Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults integrity of circuits
• Determine appropriate selection of materials and methods for hazardous locations
• Troubleshoot and isolate faults
• Connect power to audio and visual equipment
• Install surface mount and/or overhead cables
• Estimate costs and materials
• Renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications

Job Requirements

• Completion of secondary school

• Completion of 2-3 years of experience as electrician.
• Trade certification would be an asset but not mandatory.
• Good communication, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical abilities
• Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
• Able to work well independently and within a team.
