New Advance Sidings & Sundecks located in Surrey, BC provides services for residential and commercial projects across greater Vancouver & lower mainland in BC. We are looking for hard-working individuals for the position of Construction Helpers to join our team.

Position: Construction Helper

Number of positions: 2

Terms of employment: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: $26.45 per hour

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Work Site Environment: At heights, Confined spaces, Noisy, Dusty
Work location(s): Various Locations in Greater Vancouver, Lower Mainland (BC) and/or as per company contracts

Job duties

• Assist tradespersons by carrying tools and materials and helping in their other construction activities.
• Clean and prepare work site as needed, including erecting scaffolding, removing, and properly disposing of debris and waste materials.
• Remove rubble and debris using rakes, shovels, and other equipment at job site.
• Dig trenches, backfill holes, or compact earth to prepare for construction
• Load, unload, stack and move required materials to and from the work site.
• Follow all health and safety regulations at work site
• Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete.
• Take care of construction equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• No experience needed; we will train.
• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Willing to work outdoors, indoors, and all-weather conditions.
• Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks.
• Ability to work long hours and early mornings as required.
