MAAN 02 Construction Ltd. is seeking two skilled and motivated Finish Carpenters to join our team in Vernon, British Columbia. The successful candidates will perform carpentry work involving the measurement, cutting, shaping, assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of wooden structures and building components.
This is a permanent, full-time, on-site position offering $32.00 per hour for 35 hours per week.
Prepare estimates of labour and material costs for carpentry projects.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements.
Prepare layouts in accordance with building codes and project specifications using measuring tools.
Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
Estimate the costs and quantities of materials required for projects.
Maintain, repair, and renovate residential properties and wooden structures.
Ensure work meets applicable building codes, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience or similar trades experience.
Language: English.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and use carpentry tools and measuring equipment.
Ability to perform the physical duties associated with carpentry work.
Work must be completed at the physical work location.
Remote work is not available.
